I haven't had any time lately to devote to the making of a full illustration, or some other big project :P What with school and teaching myself how to draw properly (Drawn to Life is being good help though!). I'd rather work on my flaws than spend a whole day trying to illustrate something, then delete the file the next day because I think it's crap.
So that's why I've been submitting quick stuff to my dA. Not as fillers, of course, bc I don't think they're crap (I actually like my doodles, xD they're probably better than stuff I've worked on more : | ), but yeah. I'd like to finish a couple of pendant things I have, apart from a comic that's not thaaat good.

Feww, so long since I had updated! Some things have changed, others remain the same. For example, I'm still in school x)  No fun til December :P
I finally know what to do with my life. I mean, I always knew xD I just didn't know if I could do it. I was going to study Direction, only because of the degree, and because the school of animation I wanted to go to couldn't give one. But THANK GOD, by the end of next year they will (supposedly)... SO I'M GONNA BECOME AN ANIMATION DIRECTOR! (which of course means I'm gonna become an animator xD)

And I visited my future, lovely shared apartment in this excellent zone of Buenos Aires! *w* I also met a 3D professor/animator in his class, friend of my coolbeans uncle, who invited me to visit the studio x3 (of course, it's only because of my uncle, but I suspect he told him I was good at drawing, because he told me to bring my sketchbook, hahah!). Another thing that happened is that when I went to check the animation school, the  rector said I had an "animation face" (lmao, wtf. Does that mean I have cartoony features? xD). So my dad showed him my brand new sketchbook in which I had doodled some crap, and the man said "And she not only has the face, but the hands." You can imagine my face ._. I was all:

I'm working on a Lucius animation (HURR HURR). Already have some key poses... And it flows! :D I'll post more stuff tomorrow. Or not.

OHOHOHO. Remember the Zhaoka wip picture I posted in the last journal? No, I know you don't xD Anyway, I lost the file in a moment of stupidity (I REPLACED IT DDDD8). A couple of days ago I started working on the flat jpg wip, and now it's looking cooler than it would have originally. Things happen for a reason, ha!

So, I'm page 66 of the Illusion of Life, reading the Principles of Animation, and it's incredible how quickly I'm getting it. I mean, it's understandable; I've grown up watching Disney features, and I even move as a cartoon x_x Seriously, you should see me in the daily. The principles apply to me xD Oh well. I tried to animate a guy a couple of days ago, without having read the principles before, and now I can see my mistakes. First of all, I used only one inbetween for the guy to move his head. Coincidentally, the book speaks about a guy moving his head. I'll copy what it says here:

"TIMING:

[...]

No inbetweens        THE CHARACTER has been hit by a tremendous force. His head is nearly snapped off.
One inbetween        ... has been hit by a brick, rolling pin, frying pan.
Two inbetweens        ... has a nervous tic, a muscle spasm, an uncontrollable twitch.   
Three inbetweens    .... is dodging the brick, rolling pin, frying pan.
Four inbetweens        ... is giving a crisp order, 'Get going!' 'Move it!'
Five inbetweens        ... is more friendly, 'Over here.' 'Come on-hurry!'
Six inbetweens        ... sees a good-looking girl, or the sports car he has always wanted.
Seven inbetweens    ...tries to get a better look at something.
Eight inbetweens    ...searches for the peanut butter on the kitchen shelf.
Nine inbetweens        ... appraises, considering thoughtfully.
Ten inbetweens        ... stretches a sore muscle."

Right. XD. So basically, I need 4 inbetweens :P (except the guy's not giving an order.) Also, I need more movement on his legs, but I think that could be optional... Mmm, I need to finish and adjust other things first... like avoiding him to be hit by a brick, rolling pin or frying pan xD

Anyway, I've been practicing portraits and stuff like that. If there's something I've gained by making Harry, is the knowledge that I can do it. I needed to experiment, and I did it :3 Before Harry, I always felt limitated; I lacked something. Well, I lacked experience and confidence, but now I have them and I can start practicing more, yay. I made a Remus portrait, but it ended up looking baaaad. But that was because I exaggerated too much his features xD Damnit.

My room was starting to fill with papers DDD8 Under the bed, under my pillow, over my SoundMachine (<3), on the table/chairs/printer/bed, etc etc. SO, I grabbed them all and selected a bunch. I scanned the worthy bits and then they went to the dustbin x)

Ahahah, I went to see Bolt, like a week ago xD Mittens = EPIC WIN. Loved that cat. And loved Bolt when he was puppy/ his "powers" weren't working, lol. I didn't like the hamster thing though; it reminded me of Jack Black : /( Practice, practice, practice... :D )

Birthday party was awesome. We talked til 5.20 am and played Pictionary instead of watching the movie (Taken) xD wtf But I had a really good time. Anyway, here are some arts from last year. Totally unifinished or not random enough to be in a dump. I'll shut up now x)

Sooo, I have this big, new LSD screen and I like it, but the problem is I don't know if the imgs are too red or whut, lol. Because -obviously, being a LSD- if you look down it's reddish/darker, but if you look up it's lighter/cooler ¬¬ So I have to find a balance. You tell me if this is too redish...
